I am wanting to make some soap for a festival coming up so I made a test batch and the funny thing was that, although the recipe was tried and true, this batch had no lather. I asked around and it was mentioned that strawberries have certain acids that will inhibit lather, but no recommendation was given as to exactly what kind of recipe or oils would work with strawberries. and fwiw, I used the berries at only 5%.
Do you think a 100% coconut oil soap would lather better with these berries? Does anyone have any experience soaping strawberries that worked?
Also, any suggestions for a supplier for strawberry shaped M&P soaps?
