Spots in soap

Hi all!!! So why do I keep getting small dots of something in my soap? I use cutting wire but clean it in between cuts. I melt my oils completely- thoughts?

50 lard, 20 co, 25 apricot kernel, 5 castor

Also see there’s a ring , incomplete gel I guess

Could be air bubbles; but it looks like the wire cutter might have been dragging on the soap.

You’re right. It was the wire cutter. How do I fix it? I cut w a knife and it was fine, fyi- thanks!!

Check the tightness of the wires. I “tune” them so they’re all at the same high pitch and feel tight when I gently strum them. After I cut the soap, I loosen the wires so they don’t remain under constant tension. I helps a little, but won’t eliminate the dots you see. I don’t worry about it too much because I can always plane them off.
