So, near me there's a swap meet that runs each weekend at a drive in.
It's pretty popular and they get a lot of people shopping each weekend.

Spaces are 18x20. No reserving a spot & no having to stay till the end.
Just leave when you are done.
Spaces are $30 on Sat and $35 on Sun.

I'm still many months away before I'm ready for such a thing, just looking at my options near me.

So, wondering. Anyone here have experience selling your soaps at a swap meet?

Thanks for any and all input.

Well, I'm a bit late in replying and nobody else has answered you so far... so here is my opinion.

1.) It is a start. You will meet people who will tell you what they like or don't like in soap. You will hone your skills on packing, transporting, and displaying your soaps. You can get set up to take credit card payments (Square). You will develop a thick skin. You will need a helper.

2.) People who shop at swap meets are usually looking for a bargain. It might lower the perceived value of your wares. They might baulk at your prices or try to bargain you down--be firm. On the other hand, they might be delighted to buy your soaps. The space rent is not a barrier at $30. You will never know if you don't try it at least once.

Hope this helps @Juxtapose . Please let us know how it went :)
