i am having a small-ish group of friends over to look over my soaps, give me feed back and have fun.
I did make lotion bars earlier though and tomorrow i intend to make 4 batches of soap. :D

I am experimenting with seaweed in whipped soap. My kitchen is a diaster but I am having a ball!
ETA
Note to self: When piping out large soap dollops, seaweed green is not the best color to choose. It looks like a cow walked across my kitchen counter!

Now we need to see pics!

I've been soaping a lot this week since I'm on spring break. Made a shower soap and kitchen soap for a soap basket for a fundraiser, made some baby soap for two teachers who are soon to become parents, a facial soap I keep tweaking, sugar scrub cubes (for me and the basket), and some body butter (also for me and the basket). Pics are in the photo forum. I have yet to make a 100% castile soap just because, a batch of hand soap for me and the basket, bath melts for the basket, baby butt balm to go with the baby soap, my first cream soap I hope to turn into shaving soap, some FO tests (bought a bunch to try out before break), a batch of bug away lotion bars, and bug away soap for our trip to St. John this summer. This will take me into next week, for sure, but luckily I have a two week spring break.

I have a clementine soap wating to be cut, i was going to have a break from soaping today and work in the garden, looks like gardening is out of the question....bummer I'm going to have to soap

I started thurs and made some Chamomille with Neroi FO and Java bean color. I am not that pleased with the color but it smells really good.

Got my Blackberry Basil FO. in and tryed that . I think I need more F.O for the scent to hold. I made another small batch last nite and added more FO. and two teaspoons of Goatmilk. It looks and smells good I used a colorant mix to make it look like a blackberry swirl.
I am going to make some Lavender Vanilla tonite.
I need to order more palm oil before I run out. This is to much fun.

No soap so far, I did make a lotion, balm and body butter (with healing essential oils) for my Brother. He had knee surgery a couple of week ago and ironically, had sprain his ankle (same leg) right before surgery. The sprain is still swollen to the point of cracking the skin, so I made some moisturizers for him to try out. I, also, tried a lanolin butter, but think it may be too sticky for him, so I'll keep it for myself. Maybe some soap tomorrow.

I've made two batches of unscented soap this weekend. I need to use up the buckets of Palm oil I have so I made Olive, Coconut, Palm, Shea Butter with heavy cream for the first batch and with organic yoghurt for the second batch. Individual bars so that I don't have to worry about halting gel.

I've made a mango/papaya with fresh red papaya in it and wanted it orange but came out golden yellow.
Lavender/orange - mauve on the bottom and orange on the top.
About to make some cupcakes when I get off here.

Relle.

I doubled my usual weekend soap making and made two logs on both Satuday and Sunday ... yah for quiet days at home!

On Saturday I made lemon myrtle and on Sunday another two logs of one of my favourites, orange poppy seed!

I have four days of training ahead and then a four day weekend in Adelaide attending the rugby sevens ... so will be hanging out to soap in a fortnights time!

On Friday I made three batches. One a mango scented cake for my DIL for mothers day. One a round cake to give to some girls that are into soap. I gave them some MP and stuff to decorate it. They are so excited. Normally I would not give an uncured soap, but they have made several batches with me and understand about curing. Made my first batch of oatmeal, milk and honey soap---not the scent, made with. Came out pretty soft, but I think if I leace it in the mold it will be ok.

Then a soaping friend and I with several helpers lead 27 kids in a MP project. It turned out OK, but they told us 20 kids max and then we got so many more. We were running out of soap, madly cutting paper cups to make more molds....whew! My DH helped and when the lady who had asked us to do it said she had so much fun she was hoping for another project next month, my husband told her she had inhaled too much FO that night. Somewhere amid my pile of stuff to put away, I have 3 loaves of swirled soap to cut, wrap and get to the kids next week. It was a good project.
