Hi everyone .
I don't know if I just like to drive myself crazy (a very short trip) or if I way over analyze things.Shocked
If you plug the same recipe into both programs , it seems to me that the qualities appear to come out differently.
Can anyone explain this ? or crazy slowly am I going?
TIA

Hi Kitn - I think it is because you can have a range of outcomes with different oils and the programme writers of each of these have made different choices. Plus the parameters of the qualities listed on each are somewhat different e.g. bubbly & creamy lather as opposed to fluffy & stable lather.

I have had soapmaker since Christmas and ran all my recipes through soapcalc before that. For a while I used both, however I find that soapmaker gives me all the information I really need and seems to fit my acutal soap qualities better, so I only use soapmaker now.

Soapcalc is great for a more in-depth analysis if you are a more detail focused person too.

Tanya :)

Hi Tanya ,
Thank you. I have been using Soapmaker for quite awhile now and I love it . I just decided to run some recipes through soapcalc for the heck of it and noticed the differences, it got me to thinking KWIM.
