Hello Everyone, My name is Leslie and I am just getting started making soap at home. I so far like doing HP soap making. However, I made a Lemongrass soap the other day, however the soap was a little too thick (but I still managed to put it in the mold). My question is, is there anything that I could add to the soap after it is cooked to loosen it up to make it easier to put in the mold, even better to make it loose enough that I could do a swirl design.

Thank you in advance. Stay healthy and safe to you all!

At the time I did use sodium lactate. However, I have seen people use yogurt. Didn't have any at the time, but I will make sure I have some on hand next time. I can't complain, they came out beautiful and the smell lights up the house. But it just limited me from doing any sort of design. But thank you for the advice. Appreciated!

Yogurt and holding some of your liquid back and adding after cook can help. Between that and adding your SF after the cook, it should be pretty fluid. The yogurt really helps. Mix it in and then cover your pot and let it sit about 5 minutes.
