HI, I'm sure this has already been addressed, but with the all the deleted topics I couldn't find anything on the subject. I wanted to know what would be the best way to store my soap collection? Especially if I'm going to sell it and may have to store for maybe up to 6 months? I don't know the exact turn around I'm going to have. I live in SW Florida it's summer now in the 90's very very humid prob really feels like 100 degrees. Thanks!

I store my fully cured soap in corrugated baseball card storage boxes like these:

The 800 count boxes store my normal 2.5 lbs batches of soap perfectly (9 bars).

Since you live in a really humid climate, you could also stick a couple of those moisture absorbing crystal packets in with your stored soap just in case to keep any excess moisture at bay.

I'm also in hot and humid Florida (Tampa) and I store mine in Kraft photo storage boxes that you can get at Michael's for about $1.50 each on sale ( I think they're usually about $3.50, but they are frequently 6 for $10 or less). I can fit at least (12) 1.5" thick bars (from a loaf mold) in each box. They are lidded and have a nice metal frame on front for a label. I also keep the little silicone drying packets they come with inside to keep it dry, and it comes with about 10 divider cards that you can write your recipe or other soap info on.

:) I live near Orlando and I store my overstock in large wire bins used for closet storage. We're so full of humidity even with ac that I want full air circulation at all times. I would never put my soap in boxes with lids. Too afraid of rancidity(sp)? to risk the hard work.
