Just wondering if you would be ok with $3 profit per bar of soap. I feel ok with that, but my husband thinks it should be .50 more. I would rather just leave it right now and wondered what you think.

It depends on what your market will accept. I would go up personally. Generally you take your cost per bar x 4. If your area and market will pay it then I say go for it. If you are comfortable selling it for what you are selling it for then stay with it. I tried to raise my price last year and noticed people were leary of spending that amount so I immediately lowered it down again but with a small increase. It totally made a difference in sales.

Interesting...never heard the calculation before. :) I would need to sell for $6 then and I sell right now for $5. They go well at that price.

I sell for 6 and 4 for 20.00. I sell way more at the 4 for 20.00 so that works for me. 4 x your cost is very common and on most threads regarding sales and wholesale etc.
