For those of you adding food, tomato paste, cucumber, I think I read some others... do you put anything in there as a preservative? I have a book that I guess is a bit outdated, it mentioned using grapefruit seed extract. When I did research on it, everything I found said it didn't really work as a preservative. I've also found info that you don't need a preservative. Anyone know?

coconut oil at wamart, pretty cheap, fo sale at aroma haven, 4bucks for 4 oz! I hate running out of stuff.
