soap pot this weekend?

I'm waiting until sometime this week, my DH would have zero understanding for another batch curing right now as there are already 5 of them sitting out, LOL! I want very badly to make Lemonsugar and Violet and test out "Felicity" (another DS FO). I have an order of luxury oils and butters on it's way too, so I really should wait until they get here...

I have cleared a portion of my basement for my soap project.

Where did you order your oils and butters if you don't mind me asking?

LOL, we have no basement and with the whole front of the house being my sewing studio... let's just say he's a very patient man but if I ask for more space for another hobby his patience might be tried just a hair too much. So for now my soap is curing in the office and the linen closet...

I ordered cocoa butter, silk, jojoba oil and avocado oil from Scent Works. Not anything super luxurious but stuff I cannot get locally (other than 1oz cocoa butter sticks). They'll be fun to play with.

We have a basement but my brother lives in it. lol! ^_^ I used my powers as a big sister and got a big portion for my soaps! lol! ^_^ Maybe you could try buying one of those metal shelving units so you can stack your soaps? That could possibly fit in your sewing studio and you can also use it for your sewing materials "if" there aren't any soaps to cure.

Just a tiny suggestion. ^_^

ROFL, good suggestion if my studio wasn't filled to the brim and overflowing with fabric already. I have the walls lined with industrial shelving and there's still not enough room for the fabric. I design and sell clothes so it's not entirely a hobby anymore and I probably have more fabric than most general seamstresses.

another weekend, i made white tea ginger(peak) white with purple swirls on top, its the first real white soap i ever made, hope it stays! Also made lemon pd cake(peak) with orange flecks in it, smells great.

I'd love to see your white soap with purple swirls. My Black Raspberry Vanilla in the gallery is white with purple swirls.
