So I tried out a new slab soap mold w/dividers in it this week and had a devil of a time getting the soap out. I know you have to slide versus pull, but it was still a bear.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this easier? I've heard some people rub cyclomethicone or an oil on the dividers, sides, bottom before pouring in the raw soap. Does this work?

I don't use the dividers that came with my slab mold very often because I'm not fond of the size of the bar. But I have used them with a little mineral oil rubbed on them which works well.

I have the slab mold from BB with the silicone liner and dividers. So far I have not had any trouble removing the soap, I do use sodium lactate, which I think will help if you don't use that, give it a try. I just sort of rock the bars a little until they slide out. It's not super easy but so far no damage has been done and the bars come out fine.
