Hi! I am looking to buy a wood soap mold that is inexpensive, and I came across the ones at this site:

http://www.soap-making-resource.com/woo ... molds.html

I was wondering if any of you have tried these soap molds before, and if you have been happy with them.

I think it's really cool that they come with a soap cutter, lid, and integrated cutting slot so I won't have to buy these things separately.

Have any of you used something similar? Could you direct me to an online store selling something similar? Or if you could recommend any inexpensive wood soap molds that would be awesome!

P.S. I have seen the TOG molds and really think they look awesome, but cannot afford one just yet :)

:D hi there!

i am not familiar with the maker, but they do look very nicely made.

the only wooden molds that i had purchased were wooden slab molds from brambleberyy-but they were discontinued a few years back.

i did come accross www.creeksidesoaps.com they also have wooden molds-perhaps this woud give you a basis of comparison.

under soap cutters they have an adjustable cutter for making different thickness soap slices, too.

sorry that i couldn't be of more help.

To look for comparison try a search on ebay for wooden soap molds, there are quite a few listed with varying prices.

I have not bought from that company, but I have looked at the website before.
I'm also interested to know if anyone has a mold from them as the molds look nice and are reasonably priced.

Do you know anyone that could make one for you ? They are very easy to make and 2 - 6lb molds with the hardware costs about $7.00.

Unfortunately I don't know anybody who could make me one. The hubby is useless when it comes to tools lol. I'm good with tools, but don't have any :(

Ganingle - truly a cool name - okay if I remember correctly you're in Canda. I buy my wooden molds from http://www.aquariusaroma-soap.com/ - their prices are good and the molds are really good. You will find their prices are significantly lower than the like you showed us. Another place I like to buy is http://www.voyageursoapandcandle.com/store/shop.asp.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I actually already bought a 3 pound mold from the site that I had posted about earlier. I'm definitely going to take a look at these ones though, as I'll most likely need a bigger one soon anyway :)
