Hello!

I have not been making CP soap very long, only for a few months. Yesterday, I poured my soap into my wax paper lined wooden soap mold. Today the soap is ready to be cut... but it won't release from the mold!

It's like the soap expanded. Its incredibly tight inside the mold. I have never encountered this problem! While I could literally dig it out, I'd prefer not to mar it if at all possible. Is there anything I can do? And anything that will prevent this from happening again?

Thanks!
Heather

Put it in the freezer for an hour or two, it should shrink and pull away from the sides of the mold.

Thanks so much for your fast responses! This was my first post and it made me feel very welcome.

Freezer idea got the soap out of the mold. And I will stop being a cheap college student and using my wax paper... time to go to the store and get some freezer paper, eh? :)

Or try some of the foam craft sheets. They just peel off the soap, & you can use them over & over again.
