These are my three latest soaps, the purple one is scented with rose geranium palms rosa and petitgrain. I wanted to do a swirl but I spent ages messing around trying to get the purple mica mixed into the batter and it set up on me too quickly so it just had to be half and half, it also partially gelled as I realised there was no room in my fridge to put it after I had made it.
The second is a bar scented with dark chocolate and almond fragrance oil and coloured with a bit of cocoa powder and some chestnut mica. It's a weird shape as I only made a little but in the bottom of a plastic box to see how the scent behaved. It seized up really badly but I was prepared and shoved it straight into the mold. It smells lovely but I don't think I will be using that fragrance oil again.
The third is my first attempt at hot process, it's a coconut milk soap scented with tea tree as I wanted facial soap for my problem skin. I think I should have added the coconut milk at the end as it caramelised a bit during cooking which is why it's a creamy brown colour. I kind of like it that way though.
