Many of the comments here are spot on with my preferences too.
I mainly got into soaping because the typical girly soaps available at my local farmers market were not cleansing enough. After a shower my armpits would still stink.
I use 20 - 25% CO, at the higher end in the summer, lower end in the winter. Low SF, ~3%.
I prefer EOs over FOs, some of my favs:
rosemary mint (sometimes with eucalyptus)
licorice mint
eucalyptus and lime, with or without orange (very energizing scent)
Lavender mint
Lavender orange
Lavender and anise
lavender, mint, tea tree, and a touch of patch
One other thing I like is a small amount of ground herb (dried peppermint, spearmint, rosemary, lemon verbena, etc.) mixed in for exfoliation. For me a little goes a long way, I use 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon of ground herb in a 2.5lb batch of soap. Whole dried herbs can feel like needles, grinding is key for me.
