Finally had a chance to make some soap for me and my Mom. Who now actually asks for soap ;) It took awhile for that to happen.

Palm Oil - 200 g
Palm Kernel - 120 g
Olive Oil - 240 g
Coconut Oil - 80 g
Avocado Oil - 40 g
Shea Butter - 64 g
Castor Oil - 56 g

face soap
Lavender, Lemongrass and Cedarwood EO's
Honey, Charcoal and sea clay

body soap
Lavender, tea tree and geranium eo's
Oatmeal and goat's milk

I mixed up my eo blends and put the wrong one in the wrong soap....but oh well.

Yipee!

Congrats on your mom asking for soap! My mom keeps telling me she has enough soap. When I ask her which bar she's using, her eyes shift and she says "Well..." which is a signal she's not using the soap at all. I can't imagine my mom asking for soap.

Decadent! Looks fabulous, love the additives.

My mom never leaves her house without a few bars of my soap, she leaves them with everyone. Her hairdresser, nurses, the lady who does her acupuncture and even the post mistress :)

That's how my Mom was. Then she was at a craft fair with me and she heard all of the people raving about my soap. I had a friend there and she asked my mom which soap is your favorite. My mom kinda ummmmed...and paused. And I was like, yeah...she doesn't really use it. lol. So she started and now she really does like it. She said it makes her skin feel great especially now during the winter! yay!

oooh, your soaps look and sound wonderful! i'm drooling over your crafter's choice silicone molds, but can't find them on their site. any ideas for the same kind of thing elsewhere? congrats on winning over your mom, that is awesome!!!

They look Great!!! How much oil do those molds hold? I am in mold envy right now!

How long did it take to ship? I am chatting with someone from the company right now and he said they are in Taiwan...

You don't need to line them. They do get better after a couple of uses. The soap tends to stick a bit at first. It helps if you gel.

Shipping was about 1 week for some stamps I ordered from them. But really, Richard is great and service is great.

Just to clarify...my molds are from WSP. But I noticed Richard started making them. They look the exact same. I know his silicone molds are excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to order the blue ones from him.

28 Oz? PERFECT!!

What do you cut with? I am soooo sick of drag marks and uneaven bars!

Jezzy - You werent' asking me, but just FYI - I cut soap with a good butcher knife from the Kitchen (nothing fancy) and I get a very smooth cut.

By the way, did anyone notice the gorgeous pattern on the soap in that picture (http://www.bebe.idv.tw/283-loaf-mold). Anyone have insight into how that was done? I love it!

Here's the link to WSP's mold if you're interested.

Oh I'm sorry! I was thinking she meant she couldn't find them on WSP's site...that's why I listed Richard's as an alternate. Doh!

I thought she meant she couldn't find them among the molds. I've found it harder to find things since WSP has changed the site. It's kind of annoying because I have to scroll through a lot of things to find a specific item. Oh well...I guess I'll get used to it. Also, for all I know, Richard's may be a better quality than the WSP mold.

Sudsy,
Take a look at this page
http://www.bebe.idv.tw/74-peggy-stamp/8 ... -soap-tool
look at the swirling soap mold bottom left.

Actually, you should look at all of them, that sight is amazing! Some of those molds are to die for! I have a foster daughter who was born in Taiwan, next time she goes back, I have to find out if her grandmother lives anywhere near their shop. She went back last Christmas but it was before I found the site.
