Just made the "Mommy and Me" soap recipe found in The Everything Soap making Book for a friend of mine who is a nursing mommy! I'm very excited about it and wanted to tell share the joy! She had saved up some breastmilk in the freezer and when she had 6 oz she gave it to me to make her some soap. I had a small sample from BB of apricot freesia fo which was just the right quantity for this small batch. Olive oil and coconut oil were the only oils - very easy. Has anyone else made a soap like this for a new baby? How did yours turn out? I can't wait to unmold it now!!!

a few of us have. do a search on breast milk and you should find some threads. my soap that i made for a nursing friend with BM is on the curing rack and came out very pretty and white.

BTW - I didn't mention that I am giving this to my friend for her baby! I wouldn't think of someone else using it - seems too personal!

Thank you, Krissy for responding - I hadn't thought of doing a search on the topic! Still getting in the groove!

i did the same. i use the mothers milk for her baby. i dont and wouldnt offer milk made with human fluids to another person, just the one who made the fluids. lol
