maybe you whipped it???
did i stir it too much after cooking? i stir after its done cooking then to add color and fragrance.

You can make a floating soap on purpose and it is created through whipping. What happens is that when you whip you trap air bubbles in the soap. You'll notice that soaps that float are generally lighter in weight than the sinkers. Most of my soaps don't float but now and then they're just fun to make....

So to answer your question - yes it is probably connected to how much and how you stir your soaps at the end....HTH

Soap Floats

I remember the old Ivory commercials " 99 and 44 one hundreths percent pure and it floats". All they did was whip it to get air bubbles. But it helped them sell soap.

You know the story that goes along with that right?
A worker went to lunch and forgot to turn off the machine so it was stirring for over an hour and that's how it became the soap it was...
Of course before they made the billions off of that, they fired to poor dude who "messed up"... LOL
