I need a soap cutter that is proven. I bought one and spend 40.00 on this cutter, guaranteed or my money back. When I got it is was small, my loaf was sticking out the end, it was narrow, and cheaply made. The slider for my soap to butt up against was not secure and it would move, I had to eyeball it to make it look even so I could get a square cut.
None of it worked, my soap cuts are uneven and when the blade is going through the soap, the soap starts sliding back half way through, giving me more at the ends.
The guaranteed is good.....if I want to pay the shipping back to Korea. Nice set up.

Does any one know of a soap cutter that I can buy that works.

This guy makes awesome cutters depending on what you need.

I'll add my kudos for his also. I have the big multi bar cutter. If the ones he has aren't exactly the size you want, he can adjust bar width and number of bars/length of the cutter to fit your needs exactly. Awesome to work with, and gets it to you quickly. Best soaping purchase ever! (Well, after a stick blender, lol)

I will definitely be buying one from him. Thanks for the info.:p

I have both the Model 1 and the Single Bar cutter - awesome products all the way around.

I just bought a Bud cutter mod 2 a couple of weeks ago. It is by far the best purchase I have made.

The cutter is very well made and Bud was a pleasure to work with. He got back to me immediately to let me know when my cutter would ship and I received it a few days later. I have used it on a dozen loaves so far and it has worked perfectly each time.

I am a little bummed though because I just saw on his facebook page that he is going to be offering a metal version soon (similar to The Tank from For Crafts Sake). It looks awesome.

Does anyone out there make an adjustable log cutter *and* splitter (ie: where you can cut bars vertically and also cut the log horizontally?) Hope I am explaining that right.

I don't think so, I can't even picture what that would look like. Unless of course it had a removable piece to modify it.

Dory, I have notes on one that were posted by Delsie, a woman who made an ajdustable cutter that people really liked. Basically there is one wire, easily adjustable to different heights, and you put the bar in vertically to cut bars and horizontally to slice the loaf. I keep meaning to have someone make it up for me, but get lazy and hope I will find something similar and already made.

Oh I see, well then Bud's loaf splitter would work if you wanted 2" thick bars. I'll bet if you asked him he could make one adjustable to 1 or 1 1/2. I think the adjustment on his original is 2-4.

It was 2-3 1/2.

I have a loaf cutter and it is adjustable especially if you give him the size you need. I also have his single cutter which is fabulous because It gives you the ability to change the cut size at any time. Awesome service, awesome product!
