Depends - you can make one for less than $10 and about 30 minutes of your time, so I would say Home Depot. OR you can look at either FCS or KB. They both have nice ones.

he had another one that i bought for 14.99 (called the econo) but I don't see it there, I wonder if he's sold out right now.

jcandleattic, how would one go about making a beveller, please tell.....

Well, here's a pic of one exactly like mine - I used to have the instructions, but not sure if I still do. I'll have to look...

thank you.....but not sure how to bevel soap on that. Is there a blade or something somewhere? Will wait for your instructions.

I could be wrong but it looks like there is a wire in the middle (in the gap)

Rosey is right, there is a wire in the middle where the gap is. You just set your soap on the angle and run though. The wire nicely bevels the soap. Depending on how extreme you place the angle determines how deep the bevel is. Only problem, you have to determine that before building it.
I'm still looking for the instructions. but the cost of materials was about $5-$8 bucks and about 20 minutes of my hubs time. I've tried every jsut about every other device there is, and this one by far is the easiest for me and it was inexpensive.

thanks jcandleattic, I think I see the wire. I really like it......must try & build one.

Paul, SoapMakerMan, makes a planer/beveler for 28 bucks. I have one and love it .. the blade is replaceable and the craftsmanship is excellent. Here's the link:

I've had this one for years and it's still amazing http://kangarooblue.com/index.php?main_ ... ucts_id=91

it's gotten rave reviews from many experienced soapers and KB is one of my trusted vendors for many items and they have a great history/rep.
