Hello,

I am trying to make some wooden mold and would like to hear from you what is an average soap bar size so i can calculate my mold dimensions.

Thanks for your help

I don't think there is an 'average'. I played around with a few different sizes before I settled on what I personally liked the best but I've seen them in all different shapes and sizes.

Think about what shape you like best, one that feels good in your hand and makes you want to jump in the shower!

I make my bars about 3.125" x 3" x 1.25" and they feel good in the hand. I would probably want to go 1.75" thick for shampoo bars in the future to make them even chunkier. I like a brick-like feeling - From a consumer point, thicker means less surface area and the soap lasts longer.

I like to be able to set a bar of soap on the side of the bathroom faucet swithout if falling into the sink so I don't like bars that are too long but that's just me.
