Anything fun this weekend? (even though I guess it's half way through the weekend - lol)
Nothing for me. I need to plan out some batches - never did get the shamrock batch done, and now if I wanted them ready for 3/17 I couldn't do it. :( I may still make them for my son (he's 10 but loves all of my stuff) but not sure if I'm going too. Not this weekend anyway...

I also need to pull out all of my candle stuff and finish inventorying that. (I KNOW that's been going on FOR-EVER) and then we need to get the counters and cupboards installed in the basement. My new goal for all of that is April 1st. We'll see if that happens... :)

oh yes... and studying for school (lots of A&P... )
That's always the toughest part and not nearly as much fun as the practical. If you need volunteers for workshops I'm here for you. You know...cause it's all about getting you through school...lol

hehe that would be cool!!.... I actually dont mind the studying too much i am learning so many things about the human body that i thought were too intimidating at first but now i am developing an understanding.... its so interesting!!

Im excited to see what happens when i am finally licensed!

Just finished up a baby shower cake this morning (I do that too!!) and am planning to make some "Vanilla Fudge" soap tonight. I have to work tomorrow from 7am-3pm, and then I'll probably make another batch of soap tomorrow night. :)

Got home from work an hour and a half ago, sitting by the phone waiting for puppy calls. Had a family with 2 of the cutiest little boys come and buy a puppy, only 2 left out of 7. Expecting someone else to call and come this afternoon. After that I guess I will make a batch of soap. I need to get out and drag limbs from the yard to the curb but it's cold and snowing so I guess I will wait to work on the limbs tommorrow.

Just got word that my mother-in-law in coming down in two days for a funeral........ and since we live in a house she owns, she has a bedroom for when she visits a few times a year..... but I turned it into a soap room! Now we have to find somewhere to stash the soap and tools and stuff, along with the usual emergency cleaning

Oh my gosh  How will you put away a room full of soaping stuff.
Has she seen it all before?
I bet she will be so impressed by all you have done. Flabbergasted even.
Bets of luck with the visit and do let us know how it went after wards.

I love emergency cleaning....NOT...lol

I've done 3 batches of soap (my first 3) and I'm waiting for tomorrow so I can cut one and then the other I'll do Monday since I just got it finished.

I need to rearrange stuff in my room. I putt his huge cat tree in there but I need to find a place for one of the dressers. I think I'll have to put it in the closet or something. I dunno!

What are you studying? Seeing as how people are willing to be available for workshops, my guess would be massage therapy. I'm a massage therapist too. Hope your studying is going well. Enjoy your time in school, it goes by so quickly. :D

I love learning about the body... very very interesting!! :)

Too bad you don't live closer. I am sure you must need test subjects for your massage technique. I wouldn't even charge you!

I just finiahed two batches....Australian Bamboo Grass soap and Pink Grapefruit shampoo. I wanted to make more but ran out of energy :(

practice makes perfect

phew! I had to reclaim a wardrobe and build some shelves for it to acomidate all the soaps and some other supplies, the rest I just stacked up in our bedroom :) She doesn't know that when she is not there I turn her room into a soap room, he he he. I didn't think she would come down for a while so I got a bit too settled in. Oh well, a good chance to reorganize the soap stuff, and I like the new "Soap Wardrobe" 8)
Hehe, she'll never know!

Spent Friday dealing with another doggie crisis, my 14 yo cocker rescue went into convulsions at the beach - got her to the vet, left her for the day and it turns out that it is an inner ear problem that is basically sending out bad signals to the brain while the other ear is sending out proper so she was, and still is in trouble with her balance. The vet told us that there is some research suggesting this is actually micro-embolisms but she will recover. It will take about 2 weeks and although there will be permanent brain damage her case is minor enough that she'll be okay. It's an old dog disease.

So Friday was a write-off - yesterday was pretty much a write-off too. Today I have rebatched a batch of soap that didn't do what I wanted it to - okay it was simply put a failed batch that was really ugly, I've turned it into soap rocks - I'll post pictures later. I then labelled 250 shopping bags with my logo so they're ready for the mall.

I need to get a couple of big molds made so I can increase how many soaps I can make from one batch - should get that done this week and I need to get bunches and bunches of soap made.....

Other than that - I've pretty much done nothing..... 8) :p 8)

Sorry to hear about your pooch ... I hope she gets better.

This weekend I made 4 batches. A mango papaya in the slab with an orange and green swirl, bluebonnet, cucumber green tea, mango passionfruit tea.

As some of you know I've made a few batches of soap and hopefully going to make some more this week. I cannot wait to get some cp soap to make some rebatches!
