Slow cooker/crock pot?

Is a slow cooker the same as a crock pot when it comes to soapmaking?

I just got a free one.

Yep, Crock Pot is just a brand of slow cooker.

As long as it has a crock/ stone ware type dish. I have an old "slowcooker" that has a non-stick coated aluminum pan that the food goes into. I do not think that would be suitable for soapmaking. I don't know about non-stick cookware for sure, but aluminum is not suitable.
