Do you know of a good forum to get advice on making “natural” skin care products like moisterizers.”? Im in desperate need of advice and SFM doesn't seem to be the right forum.

Check out lotion crafter. They have lots of formulas and the stuff you need to make them.

Also making cosmetics.

Hi Dean - If your looking to make a natural moisturizer you can check out this video - I made this like 100 years ago and I found it to be too greasy so I modified it to suit my needs using different oils. and a few changes. And have continued to make many different products that are more on the "Natural side" If your not looking to add ingredients that are on the Lotioncrafter site or Susan's site this might be the way to go. I'm an herbalist for 15 years and have made many different natural products. I may be able to help if can give me an idea of what your looking for. But nevertheless you will have to use a preservative as it contains water. She does not use one, just Vitamin E which we all know is NOT a preservative. This is just a general idea. I however love the Lotioncrafter ingredients and use them often. I do make my own hydrosols and trade fresh herbs and ingredients with many ppl all over the world.

That is what I said about the preservative. I was just giving Dean an example of making a moisturizer "naturally"

Sorry, yes you did and I must have missed reading the entire post. She also uses beeswax as the emulsified which we know on it's own it is not
