I wasn't real sure where to put this so I thought this was a good spot.
I've been using shower gel and a mesh poofy thing for forever.
Now that I'm into soap, I'm wondering how everyone uses it. I generally would lather it in my hands then put the lather on the poof, loofah, washcloth. Do you all do this or do you just use the bar on your body?

I know, silly question, but I'm curious. Especially for the bars that have exfoliants, etc in them.

I just rub the bar straight on the bit of myself that I'm washing. I tried pouffs, facecloths, little bags to put the soap in, and they all just annoy me. I also would rather judge the lather of my soaps just on being rubbed on the skin with water, rather than using something else to create lather.

I'm a wash cloth girl, lather up the cloth good then wash with that.

lather it directly on my skin. I find it is the best way for me to judge my soap, but also love the way it feels. I used to use a poof (long ago), but decided that it was one more thing made of plastic (or petroleum) and end up in a landfill. I do use a washcloth for my face, though, but after lathering the soap on my face.

I lather the soap on my nylon pouf and then rub that on my body. The lather explodes and it really helps with bars that aren't very well known for lathering like salt bars... :)

yepper that my method too. i think it helps to make the bar last longer by washing with the lather rather then the bar itself. now if hubby would only use one. he's a lather with the bar on body and scrub with washcloth kinda guy. he's soaps don't last as long as mine either.
