I've had this happen as well. They can sometimes be a little more expensive than the big shops, it must be hard to compete on those grounds. But they (a) have things that no one else does, I think the owner really knows her stuff and (b) are one of the few places I trust implicitly if I have a question, need something that I know will be exactly as described, high quality, etc.. I hope they stick around forever and are not edged out by the consolidation juggernaut.
