shelf life of grapeseed oil

Does anyone know the shelf life of grapeseed oil? I searched online and answers vary from 1 month to 1 year. I bought some last year to make massage oil, and it still seems fine. I want to make more massage oil so I was going to buy new grapeseed, but i was wondering if I could use my old stuff for soap. Thoughts?

Most oils have a rancid smell when they've gone bad..... does your grapeseed oil still smell normal?

I hear 1 year from purchase on most oils but I believe that number goes up or down depending on how it is stored, exposure to light and air etc.
