Shea Butter - MSDS?

Today I received an order of Organic Shea Butter Natural (Burkina Faso) and on the front label it reads "Please refer to MSDS before use". I looked it up and see some sheets for it, but I'm a little confused on what the issue would be. Does anyone know?

Can't think of ever hearing anything dangerous about shea butter. Probably just a supplier covering their butt.

It may just be on all their labels. Did you find msds for it?

Ok, figured it out already. On the page where the product is described, there is a button to click on and it brings you to the data sheet. It appears to be a standard button on all their materials and I've never noticed before. Ha, I'm such a newbie! I've ordered several products from them and this is the first time I've seen it on one of their labels so that's why I red flagged it.

It's common for manufactures to be required to keep MSDS sheets on their materials. We used to get them at work every once in a while from our material suppliers. It may also have something to do with the material distributors needing to cover themselves so when you try to vaporize your shea and breather the fumes there is data in there on what to do with you.

They may be different per supplier.

MSDS sheets are also readily available for just about everything google MSDS and whatever your looking for and it should pop right up.

I am guessing this came from NDA. Here is the link for the msds for NDA. As a supplier they need to have an MSDS available when a customer asks for it. In our previous business I kept a file of all msds sheets for our materials we used. We use a lot of chemical based materials in our mold business.
