Shaving soap & others

Some of my latest soaps.

Shaving soap, made last night. Don't think I did very good with this one, my legs have bad razor burn.

My first pencil line, a OMH with carob powder for the line

rebatched salt bars with some OMH scraps or embeds

Spiced cranberry. Color went all weird, looks like cardboard but smells amazing. Mica for a faint pencil line

how do you get that glossy finished look on your fig? how does one use fig in soap, that sounds very interesting? Nice job by the way

The fig bars were made in a shiny silicone mold and thats how they came out, I didn't do anything special to them. I used Moroccan Fig FO from BB and did a two color swirl. I don't care much for the scent, its a bit too flowery but others seem to like it.

Love the pencil line. I did my first pencil line with cappuccino mica last week. It was oven hot process which made things interesting.:smile:

Thanks, I really like pencil lines but I'm worried they will break apart. When I trimmed the ends of the loaf, they did come apart and thats why they ended up as embeds.
I like the mica better but I didn't use enough or a dark enough color. The sparkle is really pretty though.

ah, I see . I wonder, can one use real fig in a soap? has anyone done that?

I suppose you could, people use other foods in soap. I bet the seeds would make nice exfoliator if you can get them clean and dry.
