Hi all...
I've been making CP soaps for quite a while and giving them as gifts to friends and family. I was hoping to branch out a bit this year and maybe add some sugar or salt scrubs... maybe some other products that do not require months of testing or practice or a huge amount of supplies that I don't already have for my CP.

Aside from a lot of reading I have no experience with these products so I would appreciate any suggestions or favorite recipes.

So far I'm thinking of some sort of sugar scrub with a nice blend of oils, fragrance, and either an emulsifier or a foaming agent (not SLS), and a paraben free preservative.

Some questions:
- Is it ok to mix olive oil and/or vegetable glycerine into some nicer oils in scrubs to keep the cost down? I'll probably be making a lot.
- Do you prefer a foaming scrub or just something with an emulsifier like polysorbate 20 or 80 that rinses off well? Can I have both?
- Do you find people prefer fruity scents or vanilla/sweet scents or something else? I'm thinking of maybe lemon-sugar FO with added poppy seeds. Or maybe blueberry FO with added blueberry seeds.
- Any major do's or don'ts when it comes to these products as far as additives or packaging?
- What sort of instructions do I need on the package... if any?
- Are there any other easy to make B&B products I should be thinking about... ? Maybe bath teas?

Sorry for the long post... it would just be nice to get this right on the first try so I don't waste money on supplies.

Thanks!!

I often use vegetable oils from the grocery store (soybean or sunflower) to cut costs.

My best piece of scrub advice is please use a preservtaive. It will run rampant with bacteria right away if you do not.
