SWMBO would like to take some of the EO/FO's we have and use them in her Scentsy. Just shooting form the hip I was thinking of using some of my Stearic acid as a base. Anything wrong with that or is there a better idea?

(Hoping this is the right forum for this, seemed reasonable)

Not sure I am understanding your question. Do you want to use your FO/EOs in a Scentsy warmer using stearic as a base to blend them in? Stearic can be hard to melt. Wax meltors were made specifically for melting low MP wax. I may be wrong but from what I have heard Scentsy meltors can be finicky and work only with a soy or soy blend wax or a very low MP wax.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Any recommendations for a base then?

Personally I'd just as soon grab some cubes in the checkout line at the Dollar Store but she's on a mission. :)

What I do is save the old wax from store bought tarts and use it for adding my own FO's to. Often I will just add a few drops to a already melted base to invigorate the scent, works great.

Here's how that worked out over the weekend:

Her: "Did you find me some wax to use?"

Me: "I added some FO to the wax that was in there."

Her: "I just dumped that out because it was used up."

So ... yeah ... :)

I hardly ever toss my used up max anymore. I put it in a ziplock baggie and save it for when I want to use a similar smelling FO. You need to teach "her" this trick, its a money saver.
In fact, after I've made a batch of soap I turn the shot glass I use to measure my FO upside down in my scentsy burner top so every last drip of FO gets used.
