I would love to know how to NOT get soda ash on my textured tops that I don't want to cover/crush?? If anyone can shed any insight on how to accomplish this I would love you foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....lol

Thanks...

Renee

Spray the tops with alcohol (91-92% solution) after they have set up a little bit. Use a fine mist setting from a spritzer bottle. It may not eliminate it entirely but usually it works.

I've been spritzing the tops of my soaps lately with the 92% rubbing alcohol and have noticed a marked decrease in ash. Almost non-existant now - I'm thrilled!

Sometime I use the alcohol, if I remember but usually I don't bother because it doesn't always work. Even some of the most widely known soapers have ash. When I was a newbie soaper I thought it was the end of the world getting ash and would trim and rebatch if it happened.... Not anymore. Doesn't bother me if it happens and it doesn't bother my customers either
