So, I'm thinking of making a batch of this today. I have both sandalwood and vanilla FO. I don't care for either scent alone, so I'm going to mix them. How much of each should I used ppo?

I just guessed and used 0.4oz of sandalwood and 0.3 vanilla. I also did my first swirl, hopefully it will come out ok.

sandalwood

great pic! looks beautiful! each supplier's f/o's and e/o's are different, some stronger than others. sandalwood is a deep base-note, vanilla seems like it would round out, mellow and maybe sweeten it a bit.

i like blending a touch of ylang ylang, rose, lilac or lavender f/o to make it more floral than woody.

rule of thumb .7-1 oz per pound of soap. you'll just have to guess like the rest of us! lol!

Wow! this looks like a great swirl...and I bet it smells deelish!

I just went and checked on it. It smells awful! I'm hoping after it's cut and curing it will start to smell better. :( I mean it smells absolutely yucky!

Don't judge it too harshly yet, wait until it's cut & cured a little. Some fragrances take a little while to settle down. Your swirl looks good!

Absolutely beautiful!!!! Do I see mica sparklies? I love sparklies.

Wow. Looks beautiful. What did you use as colorant? Sandalwood and Vanilla sounds like a wonderful blend to me! Any cut pics for us? I hope your vanilla FO doesn't turn your soap all brown and ruin that beautiful swirl!
