Could someone explain the use of salt in soap? What does it do? Thank you!

Salt added to soap will create a harder bar.

Spa bars or salt bars have a high percentage of salt in them, often up to the same weight as the oils. These bars are rock solid and provide a nice scrubby effect. Many people enjoy the 'saltwater like' feeling they get from the soap....like being in the ocean.

Hey thanks for the reply! do I add the salt after trace? Is sea salt suitable? I have very dry skin. What will the effect be? Thank you.

salt bars

thanks for the threads. this the 1st truly unique twist on soap i've come accross, besides the whipped c/p soap....they need to put more hours in a day and more days in a year! you never go a day without learning something new!
