So glad! It lathers so nice! My first recipe with 85% salt did not lather at all. This one is the same base, but with 50% salt. It is 80% CO, 10% OO, 5% shea, and 5% castor. One is black hawiian and the other is pink himalayan.

now those are lovely looking salt bars .... job well done , i can imagine the joy of getting to use them :) . haven't tried those type salts as yet. Kudos to you SoZo

Salt! :D just playing -

50% of the oil weight. So if you had 1,000 grams of oil, you'd use 500 grams of salt

Dang! That seems like a LOT of salt. What does it do for the soap? does it fully saponify and/or go into suspension? Can someone point me to a link on soaping with salt. Kosher, I assume?

Theoretically seems like a good way to reduce the per-bar cost as salt is way cheaper per lb than oils.
