Can I get my lye solution and oils to room temp before beginning to HP? Or will that cause problems with the HP process? Thanks!

I've read that it makes no difference what temp everything is at for HP. Just melt any hard oils first so you can mix/stir with the soft ones before adding lye solution to it.

sure you can. you put your oils in your pot (I use a crock pot) and melt the solid oils, add your lye solution, and proceed.

Good, thank you! I had a school function right in the middle of the day today and knew I wouldn't have time to start and finish all at once, so I mixed my lye solution so it would be cooled down by the time I got home, and melted my oils, so they wouldn't be too hot either. I just didn't know if that would cause problems. I'll let you know how it turns out later  Thank you!
