I want to soap ricebran oil.My research says properties are similar to olive(great OO shortage of whenever)but what about hardness factor? Soapcalc says OO has a low hardness value but we all know that aint true.Is ricebran similar in that regard,or does soapcalc give an accurate description?

I used to use 50% OO in my soaps, now I use 25% OO & 25% RBO. I love it. The soaps are nice and hard, lather well, and using RBO helps keep my costs down.

For those of you who are near a Campbells Cash & Carry wholesale grocer, I got a drum of RBO today for $58.99 - works out to $2.95/L.

Last time I bought a 20L drum of RBO, I paid $133 including shipping.

do you guys add the RBO because you like the soap better with some RBO replacing the OO, or is it about the same?

also, does one still have to be a member to buy from campbells?

now you mention it, i do remember her...omg....

i remember going to cambell's yonks ago and i really didn't find them cheap - it just had lots of stuff....but the RBO price sounds okay.

Yep, you need an ABN & to sign up to buy at Campbells. For those of you that live closer to oil suppliers and therefore pay less shipping it may not be such a savings, but for me it's huge!

so, becky, do you have to pay for membership?

talking about membership, i can't wait for costco to get to sydney; if they sell as much stuff as i'm told at such fabulous prices, i'll be in seventh heaven.
