I played the mad scientist today.
At last I was ready to really getting into making up soaps with various Essential oils that would compliment the very expensive rose oil that had arrived from India
I take full responsibility for my madness..
Someone on the forum had mentioned hearing of someone useing a full bottle of Rossella in her rose soap for colouring.
I found a lovely bottle of Ribena at the supermarket yesterday.
As I added the lye to it there was much fizzing and the mixture rose 2 inches high and bubbled over a burnt brown mess.A real mess.
Some time later having cleaned up and finding that it had only removed the varnish off the floor I started again.
This time everystep was planned and set out.
Now my beautiful Rose soap is tucked up in insulation. The colour being a nostalgic soft red as I then opted for Rubine red liquid colouring.
I have made three different prefume batches and in two of the molds put rose and calendula petals.
Learning by experience.
