I used beeswax in soap to harden it.
Yes, that beeswax soap made a white film on things.
I switched to stearic acid, which doesn't cause that problem.
 
Ok Holly99 I just posted the same question as you! I don't like that residue!

I bought many kinds of handmade soaps in the store and I a trying them out. So I get this white powder all over my skin but specially in my hands... I was reading all the comments and some people don't even notice.

:?: Do you think is the PH of each person? I have a really high PH... I don't have an answer for this because it could be the goats milk or the lye maybe?

I would love an answer too... by the way, When I do my own soap and try it... I don't have that excessive problem, just a very light film of white but not much. Weird eh? :roll:
