The conditions those horses are kept in are aweful. It makes me cry. They keep them pregnant, restrained & catherterised and that is just the tip of the iceburg. Humans, in general, are a brutal species though we claim to be os civilized.

"Breast Milk Soap for Dry Skin

Method: This soap consists mostly of olive oil and breast milk. The bar lathers up into a rich creamy treatment for eczema and dry skin

Verdict: It works! Breast milk contains lactic acid, a form of alpha-hydroxy acid which is a natural skin exfoliatant. It also has lactoferrin, which is a good anti-inflammatory and helps to shed the outer layer of the skin and unclog pores. You can use yogurt as a substitute for the breast milk. It also contains lactic acid and is readily available. Try the recipe below and see if it works for you.

I'm surprised he's not aware that there is no ACID in the resulting soap.

I have been trying to figure out my attitude on this--I very happily nursed our sons and now that I am a grandmother, am happy to give my grandsons bottles of BM that my DIL leaves when I babysit. On the other hand, I would not want soap made of it. The thought is just not at all appealing to me--kinda , well ewwww espresses it. Yet I use all sorts of other "food" for soap or BnB stuff. I love honey and cream. Interesting what makes us react one way or another.

Anyway, I read an article by David Fisher this week---Some are using camels milk which is supposed to be much closer to human. So for those who see benefit in human milk, this may be interesting.

Sorry, I don't think I added a link properly....

Funny he should mention camel milk. I've been mulling it over in my mind since I live in Kuwait and, well, there are camels everywhere! I didn't realize it's close to human milk.

Hmmm...might have to hit up a farmer for some milk soon. :D

I wonder if any of the actual semen properties would be left after saponification? Anyone know?

Let's hope not or you could have a bun in the oven just from washing. And how difficult moght that be to explain??????

I find it a little funny that people are disturbed by a "stranger's" breastmilk, yet they drink cows milk. Did they know the cow it came from? In some cases, maybe so. Most likely not though. :)

 I don't really like touching people (except for the ones close to me and even then I'm not the touchy feely type) so touching any of their bodily fluids, nah...
I really feel breastmilk is a beautiful thing that should be shared by a mother and her babies and perhaps the father, no one else.

And I happen to do know the cows my milk come from. :p

I find it a little funny that people are disturbed eating a "stranger's" meat, yet they eat cow's meat.
