Hey y’all, I was going to make a batch of bastil with carrot purée. Have any of y’all ever used the water that you used to boiled the carrots as your water portion. Was actually thinking about using have carrot water/coconut milk.

I've not used carrot water but I have used the water in which we boiled rice and had no problems.. I think it would work.

Ok, I’ll try using the water in which I boiled the carrots. I did use distilled water to boil them in. I’ll let y’all know how it turned out.

No but it should be fine. I use carrot juice in my lye liquid.

Thanks. I’m thinking that it’s going to add to the bubble, maybe. I can really smell the sugar in it.
