I am revamping my soap line with a new recipe that does not contain soy. Here is what I came up with...

Palm oil (sustainable) 20 oz (31%)
Olive Oil 18 oz (28%)
Coconut oil 16 oz (25%)
Shea butter 6 oz (9%)
Caster oil 4 oz (6%)

35% water and 6% super fat

What do you think? I want a hard bar that lathers well and is conditioning.
Thanks!

I didn't want to go too much more on caster since I don't want to end up with a tacky bar. I would think with the coconut oil and the palm oil that it would lather well. But, I'll plug it in and see if numbers change :)

If I add sugar, how much to a 4 lb batch? Also, does adding sugar affect cure time and softness or hardness of bar? Thanks! :D
