REALLY REALLY new from Indiana

Hello all.
I just joined last night and thought I would say hello.

I am a sahm of 3 (4, 2.5, 3months) and started going natural with my last pregancy and want to refine my skills.

I have started with body butters and my mom loves them so much she wants to buy some for friends for christmas. So, I am going forward trying to make better products.

I made a jelly cleanser from a book from the lib that has been great.

I made an oil in water emulsion or the other way around--whichever is the one that doesn't have chemicals or stuff....just used borax.

Anyways. I have shea butter and a few carrier oils and a few FO and EO and have about 150 worth of EOs (from a coop) coming to make my own scents and lotions/butters and lip butters

I currently have no plans on making my own soap--lye scares me....especially with my little ones...but I am sure once they are older and I have conquered my current endevors, I will move on to a new challenge....just seems too complicated for me right now!

You sound quite the busy sahm, with all those little ones how do you find time for yourself!??!?!!

You know that you can make melt-n-pour soap which does not require any lye to be used !

just order bricks of soap base, melt them down...add color, scent, etc... and pour into a mold...hours later...soap is ready to be unmolded...after a short cure...good to go!
