I'm so excited - I just made Agriffin's pretty flower soap and my first successful batch of Whipped Shea Butter. I LOVE BOTH!!! I'm so excited! And, I even took the left over soap in my squeeze bottles (from the flower soap), and made a miniature "Rock N Roll" soap. I'm on a roll! Somebody STOP ME!!

I promise to post pics as soon as I unmold - tomorrow! Thanks for sharing my happy dance! :D

I tried that too and didn't have any luck so I'm super excited for you! Pics are a must!

ALRIGHT, so here are the pics - they're not quite as impressive as my excited happy dance would have led you to believe, but I'm still pretty pleased overall -

Here is the flower soap - there's glitter on it (not sure if you can tell).

I used the super cheap Target ($2.99) molds that someone mentioned on another thread in the last couple of days. It was also my first significant use of T.D. and I'm not sure I like the texture - I'll have to wait for it to cure before I judge.

Here's the whipped shea butter (not that you can really see anything from the picture - I love how it feels, though - finally one that's not too greasy :)

And last, but not...oh wait, it is kind of least. It's pretty ugly. Here's what happened to my rock 'n roll soap. It was gorgeous in it's little tiny mold - just perfect. However, I tried to unmold it and it was WAY too soft, so I used this as my opportunity to make my first soap ball. You can't win 'em all, right?

Well, my flower soap is not nearly as pretty as Agriffin's, my whipped shea butter is more of a body butter , and God help my ugly little soap ball, but I'm still excited because there were several "firsts" for me. Funny how you can be so proud of your own creations, no matter how they appear to the average beholder (this applies to soap, children, whatever...) LOL. And practice makes perfect, right?!

Now I want to try the flowers - they look great! Would you mind sharing you're Shea butter recipe? I've got one I like, but it's still a little too oily.

I posted the shea butter recipe on the bath and body forum recently. It really ended up more as a nice body butter (rather than a fluffy "whipped" sort of concoction), but I was happy with it and I liked that fact that it only contained shea butter, avocado oil, cornstarch and Essential Oil). Here's the link - http://www.soapmakingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22277.

I just saw the recipe and came back to change my post - I've never used a starch in my butters, but have seen it it some I've purchased. I'm going to have to give this a go - thanks for sharing!
