Decided to just test them all.. But white.
Soap is basic white recipe of mine with OO (refined a), coconut oil, palm and castor. No scent.
Soaped at 90 and by the time I got to many of the scents like the unstables, I was at room temp. (70).

Unstables are in fridge to keep from going over 120. And obviously none of these will gel. So colors could change if gel'd. But so far so good... Unstables don't look too bad. I had to use twice the mica for them though to get color to really pull through right.

Pic of amount of mica used for 1 oz. soap.. it's about 1/16 tsp or so. And then the colors right after pouring. My lighting went wacko on the 2nd pic.. too dark.

I love these kinds of experiments!

If you have a mini latte frother, you can mix the colorants right in the cavities of your molds - saves a step!

I can't wait to see your final results after the lye has had a chance to do its thing.

I had a frother I bought but it didn't work well. :( Heard so many things about them I'm not sure if mine was a dud but it didn't mix that much and I tossed it.
Got it at Target and had I think two double A batteries for power and was for mixing drinks?

Well the two bottom hearts that should have been a red and pink are now almost white.
The only real color left on the hearts are the two darkest... Capricorn and love song.

Newbie Q - what is TKB?
Neat experiment, would love to see your pictures so the colors over time.

jenneelk, how exciting! I hope you end up with some colours that you really like! Do you have any plans for what to do with the tester soaps once you're done? (keep them for reference, use them in other soaps, etc.?)

That's a great idea! Have you tried this in detailed molds as well? I have some Milky Way molds with different shapes in the same mold, and would love to make them different colours, but I'm not sure if the colours would blend into all the little crevices with a mini mixer.
