So I recently tried a new vendor for lids. Previously my lids never had a liner and sanitizing was easy. The new vendors lids have a liner though. I admit that I like the lined lids more, but this brings up a question about how to sanitize them with the liner? It was easier before, but now I have a feeling I may not be able to because of sanitizing solution getting in between the lid and the liner and probably causing a yucky mess!

Also, how you gals/guys go about sanitizing pumps?

PS. From searching the board, I know this is a debated topic between sanitizing when received from vendor or just using as is. While there are many great reputable vendors out there, we have no idea how the jars/bottles/etc were handles during production and transport. I always feel it is best to sanitize. I use Star San currently and never had any issues. Let the discussion begin!

If they are new lids, just spray the insides with Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol 91%. You can also use alcohol to disenfect your pump lids.

That is why I was thinking too, just spray a little bit of alcohol and let dry for the lids. I will have to try with the pumps too. Thanks for the input!
