Hi Guys,
My hubby is a coal miner & the fitter at work has asked for a soap that will strip the grease from his hands but not make his dermatitis flare up...big ask!!!! ATM they use what I can only describe as stripper, I can smell David before he gets out of the car, phew :lolno:

Can you please take a look at this recipe & tell me if you think it will be too harsh for our big teddy bear fitter x

200g tester bar

Castor 10g
Coconut Oil 60g
Olive Oil 70g
Palm Oil 60g
Ultra fine pumice approx. 1/2 Tbl
Yellow Clay 1/2tsp
Citrus EO 2%
Triple strength coffee to replace water 76g
Lye 29g

Thanks in advance, he has been bugging me for ages about this soap & I really have to get on it.

PS. I was thinking of making small one time use soaps because coal miners get sooooooo dirty

The recipe looks good, but since the soap is supposed to help get grease off hands, I'd double your pumice.

Looks good and yes, put more scrubby stuff in there! I made a gardeners soap with peppermint and rosemary flakes and it's great! Smells really good too!

Great idea Deanna, I might sneak some in so he doesn't have to admit to actually using hand cream!!!
Thanks for the info on adding more pumice Genny & Christinak I will definitely do that :D
