I've taken on a pretty big task lately. It has been so hard for me to find all the information I want in one place that I decided to create a website for it all. It's a work in progress, but I thought perhaps anybody might be able to help me a little. It's going to take a while to finish, but I would like to know what you are interested in knowing, and if there is anything that you want to see on my website that you do not currently see.

Of course I don't have ALL the information I want on there yet, but its coming along pretty well. I am almost done listing the Carrier oils and their properties, but as for other ingredients I haven't gotten there yet - so please don't tell me that all EO's and their description should be on there, because they will be by the end. Anything else though - feel free to let me know.

The site is basically formed out, but with missing information.

The site's name is
http://www.naturallybejeweled.com

I would love to know what you think!

Thanks
Ruby

hi there!

i live in the south and i've never in my life seen so much bad skin! i dont know if it's non-specific dermatitus, psoriasis, bad diet, the water or what!

my biggest request is something for this-most people (men and women) who use my soaps says it helps a lot, but doesn't clear it up completely.

this would be most beneficial!

thanks,

monet

Thanks

A section on skin problems and possible products to use for such. It would be nice if I could put some sort of search box for people specifically looking for a certain type of skin. It could return a list of ingredients that would help specific conditions. I will see what I can do. Of course it might take a while - but please check back and I will see what I can do.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Ruby

Hi Ruby, very interesting site and seems well thought out. I found it easy to navigate and look forward to it being completed. I like Monet's suggestion about skin conditions and the idea of linking ingredients that you thought of.

Tanya :)

It seems like a nice site and look forward to it as well! I have allergies and intolerances to certain oils, such as Soybean oil. It might be good to put a section on known oils that people might have known allergies to, i.e. nut oils. Given that, anybody could be allergic to anything, but the common ones might be helpful.

Excellent Idea

Thats an excellent idea SimplyE... As I have been going through creating this site I have come across many warning about various oils and allergies. Also I think I will put a general warnings page detailing common warnings associated with EO, carrier oils, and other ingredients.

You guys have some great comments - it will be wonderful when I get to incorporate all these elements. Love it

Thanks

Be very careful, this is where you cross the line from cosmetic, to drugs.

Agreed.

Your site is very well setup. It's going to look fabulous!

cosmetics - drug

I understand to sell cosmetics you can't claim that it will help with certain medical conditions, but if I didn't sell products claiming to help with those conditions wouldn't it be alright.

I was thinking I was just educating people about the uses and properties of different "ingredients". Of course I will def. have a disclaimed telling people to always check with a physician before using anything for medical purposes.

Wonder how that would work? Does anyone know who I could call to make sure I don't "Get in trouble" with any agency or anything.

My understanding was that cosmetics weren't very regulated - which is one reason why I want to put up my site so bad also - to educate consumers on what they put on their skin.

Let me know - thats for the heads up, I appreciate it!

Hi Jewel,
Cosmetics are VERY regulated; it's just that most info and regulations don't seem to reach the average costumer.
I don't think it's a lack of interest, but more the fact the info is very much scattered across the internet, every cosmetics producer seems to have different opinions which are projected as truths and all producers want to make their costumer believe their products are good/safe/eco-animalfriendly etc.
So creating a site where all info is gathered in one place and without too much of an opinion would be perfect!
Good luck with your site,
Dagmar

Thanks

Thanks, thats what I am striving for - its hard to find everything you want to know about. I am already finding stuff that I want to add to the site. It might take a while - but it will get done!
