preservative for lotion, allergic to propylene glycol

I am just getting into making simple lotions for myself. I saw everyone talking about germaban or whatever it is called, but from my research it has propylene gylcol in and I am very allergic to that. What is my next best option? Most gentle to the skin is what I want. Thanks!

Well I don't know a lot about preservatives but here is what I have found out about a few others you might check out.
LiquaPar Oil is a mixture of Isopropylparaben (and) Isobutylparaben (and) Butylparaben.
Optiphen is phenoxyethanol and an emollient base (don't know what that emollient base is made of though).
And then there is Tinosan SDC which is called a "natural preservative". The active ingredients are Sodium Salt of Silver Citrate - Silver ions (2400 ppm) and Citric acid USP (Fruit Based).
Look into some of these and see if they are what you're looking for.
