Preservative for liquid soap and lotion

I am new to soap making and I make goats milk soap. I am trying to find out what preservatives to use in my lotions and liquid soaps so that my friends don't have to put them in the fridge.

Anyone?

Not sure about liquid soap because I am not currently dabbling in that but I make lots of lotion. You have several options: Optiphen, Phenonip or Germaben are the three that I am familiar with.
